The wait is over! The all-new 8000 Series C-TEC2 794cc engine with Dual-Stage Injection (DSI) delivers increased performance and rideability in the 160-hp class. It provides crisp throttle response, outstanding mid-range and class-leading performance in addition to improved fuel mileage and reduced oil consumption. You know we can't leave well enough alone though- we've developed many performance parts and accessories for the new models with the same quality, durability, and of course the Straight-Up USA Horsepower that has made us known as the Worldwide Leader in Arctic Cat Performance! We had many machines equipped with our Stage 2 Exterminator Kits out on the snow in the 2017-2018 season, and riders were raving about how they took the smooth running, yet hard pulling 8000 C-TEC2 to another level, with a fun factor above and beyond any other stock displacement, naturally aspirated machine whether it be a ZR trail blaster or a M-Series mountain masher. Those riding M 8000's equipped with our Supercharger Kit reported rock solid pull and go reliability, with power, consistency, and instant throttle response that simply can't be matched by other boosted machines. For 2019, Arctic Cat has made only minor tweaks to the drivetrain on the 8000 series machines, so you can expect the same great performance with our kits and components. The big news is in the suspension department with the ZR iACT models with electronically adjustable shocks, and the new Alpha One model that is truly a game changer in the steep and deep- just add a healthy dose of Straight-Up USA Horsepower to either of these platforms to make the best even better! The 2020-2021 models have changes to the top end and injection system, but the power output is virtually the same as 2018-2019 and our Exterminator Kits and Supercharger will give you the extra kick that will put a permanent grin on your face!

Arctic Cat 8000 Pipes Tested At DynoTech Research!
Recently, DynoTech Research in Batavia, NY conducted an exhaust pipe comparison on a 2020 ZR 8000. A completely stock machine with 2000 miles was hooked to the SuperFlow engine dyno to run the stock exhaust against five aftermarket pipe options including the Speedwerx Pipe and Y-Pipe Kit. When all was said and done, the Speedwerx pipe topped them all with 9.8hp better than stock and 2.8 to 6.9hp better than the competitor’s exhausts!

The pipe is just one part of the performance equation though. We highly recommend our Exterminator Kits to get a complete bolt-on performance package developed on our dyno and thoroughly field tested to meet our strict performance standards. The Stage 2 Exterminator Kits are the ultimate choice for those wanting maximum power and performance in a naturally aspirated, stock displacement bolt-on package with pull and go reliability on pump gas. The Stage 2 consists of our Fat Daddy Single Pipe and Y-Pipe, ECU Flash, Stealth Head Mod, VForce Reeds (2018-2019 only), Hypershift Clutch Kit, High Flow Intake Vents, Aluminum Panel Vents, and Exhaust Valve Cable Gauge. The Stage 2 delivers 12-13hp more at the peak, and 16-17hp more in the midrange, and you'll also save 13.9 to 18lbs when combined with one of our lightweight mufflers!
Not only was our Fat Daddy Pipe and Y-Pipe the clear winner among the those tested by DynoTech, it's 4.5lbs lighter than stock too. We also have a high elevation specific pipe for better performance at altitude, or an optional adjustable pipe with interchangeable stingers if you regularly switch between high and low elevation. Now available for all 2018-2021 models, our ECU Flashes that are developed in-house change the fuel and timing parameters to ensure you’re getting maximum power and excellent throttle response with pull and go reliability on pump gas. The Stealth Head Mod has our interchangable billet domes with a special chamber and cooling design to reduce the chances of triggering the knock sensor to keep you at peak power all the time, and it also enables those riding at higher elevations to safely bump up the compression on premium pump fuel as well. We tested numerous reed designs in 2017, and settled on a special design from VForce that proved to be better than all others on the 2018-2019 engine, while the 2020-2021 kits work well with the stock reeds due to the different OEM cylinder and injection design. Our Hypershift Clutch Kits keep the revs in the sweet spot to get all that added power to the ground when pipe temps and RPM’s climb on a long pull across the lake or up the mountain. The Intake Vents deliver more cool air to make more power, and the Panel Vents help keep your belt and clutch temps in check. The Exhaust Valve Gauge is an easy way to check cable lengths to ensure they are in spec to eliminate any potential running issues, something that's often overlooked on these machines. Add our standard Lightweight Muffler that's 9.4lbs lighter or the L2 Series that sheds 13.5lbs, and you'll save 13.9 to 18 pounds overall! We also offer a Stage 1 Exterminator Kit for a little easier installation at a lower price point. It does not include the Stealth Head or VForce Reeds so the power gains aren't as strong in the midrange, but it's noticably better than stock with the same 12-13hp peak power gain. If you find yourself wanting more, you can always upgrade to the Stage 2 spec down the road as well.
Product Updates and Dyno Testing Info- November 2017
The early release of the 2018 8000 C-TEC2 models allowed us to get a jump start on all of the parts and accessories for this machine. In addition to the videos we showed you last spring where we were field testing the Supercharger and our Exterminator Kits, we had logged many miles testing clutch kits on the early build machines and have since made hundreds of pulls on our engine dyno testing various components and configurations.
After months of work, the cold air needed to finalize the specifications on components like the pipes and heads has arrived, so you can be assured all these new parts have been 110% tested and proven to meet Speedwerx standards before they reach your doorstep. Here’s a rundown on the testing process and the parts are offering…
One of the biggest hurdles in building power on this new engine package is developing components that will make power without triggering the stock knock detection system and having it correcting and detuning what are trying to do. We have the capability to monitor this type of data that is being read by the stock ECU and see potential problems before the ECU starts to make corrections (adding fuel and pulling timing)- this is well before it would trigger the deto light on the gauge and you notice a loss of performance in the field. This capability lets us know that the upgrades we are offering will be 100% safe and reliable and we will not be fighting the stock knock system with our parts. We test with 91 octane ethanol gas straight out of the pump from our local Holiday station, so it’s representative of the fuel you would find anywhere else around the country. When making runs on the dyno for comparison purposes, we make sure to get the engine and pipe up to full operating temp and make several back to back runs to ensure we are simulating real world conditions and to verify there are no significant losses on longer, hot pulls. When running the Exterminator Kits to establish the numbers seen here, we retested the stock engine to establish the baseline for comparison and it came in at 152hp @ 8200RPM with 97.4ft-lbs of torque @ 8100RPM on our SuperFlow engine dyno.
Our 2018-2019 Stage 1 Exterminator Kits are a great choice for easy bolt-on power and performance at a lower price point, and you can easily upgrade to the Stage 2 spec down the road if desired. The Stage 1 consists of our Stealth Head Mod, all new VForce3R Reed Valves, a 2.5° Timing Key (low elevation only), a Hypershift Clutch Kit , and our new Aluminum Panel Vents. The Stage 1 peaked at 155.6hp @ 8100RPM with 100.9ft-lbs @ 8100RPM- that’s an increase of 3.6hp and 3.5ft-lbs at the peak, but it was up 4-5.5hp with a corresponding increase in torque throughout the midrange all the way up to where the gap started to narrow within the last 100RPM. This will translate into better acceleration in the field to quickly put you out in front of a stocker and keep you there.
The 2018-2019 Stage 2 Exterminator Kits include all of the Stage 1 components, plus our Fat Daddy Pipe and Y-Pipe combo, a Dynojet Power Commander V Fuel Controller, and a High Flow Intake Vent Kit. The Stage 2 peaked at 164.3hp @ 8300RPM and 103.9ft-lbs at 8100RPM- an increase of 12.3hp and 6.5ft-lbs at the peak. The higher RPM and much improved over-rev power approaching 8500RPM means it will be much more forgiving on the clutch setup than the stocker and will have bigger wheels on the top end for the long pulls on the lake or the big climbs in the mountains. Add one of our lightweight mufflers and you'll save 13.9 to 18 pounds too! Now available for all models and years, our ECU Flashes eliminate the need for a piggyback fuel controller and change the fuel and timing parameters within the stock ECU to ensure you’re getting maximum power and excellent throttle response.

Speedwerx ProCharger Supercharger Kits
For years Speedwerx has been leading the industry in snowmobile performance and this product takes that to a completely new level. Since 2010 Speedwerx is the only company to successfully put a complete 2-stroke snowmobile supercharger kit on the market. Since then we won the first and only X-Games Hillcross Gold Medal on a boosted sled, several riders have piloted Speedwerx Supercharger powered machines to multiple RMSHA class wins, and Garth Kaufman won a RMSHA National championship in 2017 piloting a Supercharged M6000 C-TEC2 machine the 600 Mod class. Using that same race and championship winning technology, we have developed a complete Supercharger kit for the 2020 Arctic Cat M8000 with the new 800 C-TEC2 engine- it makes 225hp at 8-9psi on premium pump gas at 4500'+ elevation. Speedwerx Lightweight Mufflers
Our Lightweight Mufflers are consistently among our best sellers year after year. Here's a short vid comparing the Stock Muffler to our standard Lightweight Muffler and the L2 Competition Series Muffler on a ZR 8000 with the 800 C-TEC2 engine. The 6000 and 800 HO models will be very similar, but they will lose an additional 2.25# due to their heavier stock mufflers with the insulator wrap. They are all designed and tested to ensure consistent performance with no change in the running quality of the machine. The Lightweight Mufflers will give you a deeper tone and a little more bark than stock, but the sound levels are still reasonably low for everyday riding. The L2 (Light n' Loud) Mufflers are designed to give you the lightest weight when sound levels are not a concern. Tucker Hibbert and the majority of the Team Arctic Pro and Pro Lite racers use our L2 mufflers on their ZR 6000 R SX machines to paint the podium green year after year, and we apply that same race-winning knowledge and years of experience to all of our products that are available for your trail or mountain machine.

A key component in the Stage 2 Exterminator Kits, our Stealth Head Mod with billet dome inserts is going to be the key to unlocking maximum power and performance from the 800 C-TEC2! The head design adds power while reducing knock readings detected by the stock sensor with a compression ratio similar to stock- we are seeing a 4-6 hp gain in mid-range RPMs on premium pump gas and low elevation applications do not need a fuel controller with the stock pipe. At higher elevations, we expect gains to be in the 6-10 hp range depending on the elevation and compression ratio, however a fuel controller is needed to run the higher compression ratios. We highly recommend the purchase of our Exterminator Kits, as they are developed and tuned with the Stealth Head as part of a complete performance package.
What we do is machine / gut your stock head so that you can run our interchangeable billet domes. These domes drop right into place under the modified stock head cover without anyone even knowing it! Not only does this add some serious power to your machine, but it is a cheaper alternative to a complete billet head kit set-up. Kit requires modification to the stock head, and purchase of two billet domes and o-rings for the top of the domes. Inner and Outer O-Rings for the Cylinder to Head are available separately as well. Domes are available in your choice of several compression ratios from 13:1 up to 16.3:1.
Speedwerx Exhaust Valve Cable Gauge
This gauge is good for setting the exhaust valve cables on any machine with a 36.5 mm cable length spec- this includes all 6000 and 8000 C-TEC 2 and 800 HO models.
We are seeing a lot of inconsistent valve cable measurements on the new 8000 C-TEC2 machines. Improperly set power valve cable adjustments can lead to engine bogging, hesitations, and inconsistent running. This gauge makes it easy to quickly check the cable spec without fumbling around with a caliper and allows you to get a much more precise setting than you can with a tape measure or ruler. This precision machined aluminum piece acts as a go/no go gauge- just lay the cable in the gauge and it shows you if it is out of spec so you can lengthen or shorten the cable as needed.
Our 4th Wheel Kit - Tri-Hub Eliminator Kits are available for 2018 models with 7.12" and 8" wheels. With the Speedwerx 4th Wheel Kit installed, you will have a more stable ride and better traction under acceleration. This kit prevents the sled from "walking" when the skis are off of the ground. This kit eliminates the stock Tri-Hub assembly and replaces it with individual wheels- they run much truer and you will not be left stranded in the event of wheel or bearing failure like you would with the stock setup!

For 2019 and newer models, we offer 4th Wheel Kits to replace the new style 7.12" and 8" wheels. With the Speedwerx 4th Wheel Kit installed, you will have a more stable ride and better traction under acceleration. These kits replaces the 3 cheap stock molded plastic wheels with 4 high quality PPD rubber coated plastic wheels- the same type used in performance applications for many years. They run much truer and the rubber coating on wheel bends and conforms to studded tracks. Each kit comes with 3 - 6061 CNC machined aluminum spacers, 2 - 6061 CNC machined billet washers and 4 - high performance wheels.
Speedwerx Billet Tensioner Block Kit
A great companion item to our Wheel Kits! This tensioner block kit replaces the stock cast block and 8mm bolt with a 6061 billet aluminum block and 3/8” bolt to improve durability for cross-country racing or aggressive trail and mountain riding. Fits most 2012-2026 Procross, ProClimb, Ascender twin rail, Blast, and Catalyst models including 2018+ ZR 6000 R XC race sleds. Does not fit Alpha One models.
Our vent kits install on the front side of the panels to draw cool air across the clutches and exhaust, and out the rear where the panels have venting molded in from the factory. They are made from laser cut aluminum for durability and look good with a Black Anodized frame backed with stainless steel mesh to keep the snow out. Kit comes complete with rivets and installation instructions.

Speedwerx Lightweight Secondary Spring Cups and R2 Rollers
Our Lightweight Spring Cups are available for the TEAM BOSS and ADAPT secondary clutches. The TEAM version is steel and saves .75lbs., while the ADAPT version is CNC machined from billet aluminum and saves .85lbs. Also available is a 3 roller version for the ADAPT- the additional roller reduces flex and reduces drag compared to the 2 roller setup. We have seen improved backshifting and more consistent operating rpms with this part over the 2 roller part. Requires a custom cut 3 roller helix- see below.
The Lightweight Spring Cups pair perfectly with the Speedwerx R2 Series Bearing Grade Racing Rollers. These rollers are made from a very tough and durable bearing grade plastic. They are CNC machined for improved quality and for a good precision fit, where most stock ones are molded. They are built to withstand the toughest conditions. Our team has been using them in all types of racing and trail riding with great results. Both the 2 and 3 roller versions are available with our R2 Rollers, Thust Washers, and E-Clips to make a complete drop-in assembly. The complete ADAPT units can also be retrofitted to the 2016-2021 TEAM BOSS clutch.
Speedwerx Billet Aluminum ADAPT Primary Clutch Cover
These covers are not just for looks! They do look sweet but we built them with a purpose on top of that. These covers are stronger than stock and have features that help reduce flexing and fatigue over time. Machined from 6061 billet aluminum and anodized for a great looking finish.

Speedwerx Lightweight TEAM BOSS / ADAPT Helixes
Our TEAM BOSS / ADAPT Helixes are machined in-house- we shave off excess material to save .10lbs over the stock helixes without compromising strength or durability. These helixes are available in both Electronic Reverse (2-Stroke) and Standard (4-Stroke) designs.
Custom Cut 3 roller versions now available! The additional roller reduces flex and reduces drag compared to the 2 roller setup. We have seen improved backshifting and more consistent operating rpms with this part over the 2 roller part. Requires ADAPT 3 Roller Spring Cup assembly- see above.
We offer three types of cuts on these helixes-
Straight Cut- these helixes maintain the same angle for the entire length of the ramp.
Compound Cut- these helixes are progressive on the first section of the ramp and have a straight angle on the end of the ramp. In each part number (ex. 59-43.36), the final number (.36) indicates the length of the first part of the ramp where it progresses from the first angle (59°) to the second angle (43°).
Progressive Cut- these helixes progressively change from the starting angle to the ending angle down the whole ramp.
The advantage to the compound radius is that it will typically back shift quicker for snow cross or tight twisty trail riding. The starting angle is always steeper at first for quicker acceleration, then progressively changes to the lesser angle so that the clutches don’t over shift and bog down the motor so you retain excellent top speed.

Speedwerx H5 Alloy Clutch Springs
Don't forget clutch springs as a normal part of your maintenance program! They take a lot of abuse, but are often one of the most overlooked parts in the whole performance equation. Our exclusive H5 Alloy springs are offered in our Hypershift Clutch Kits, and are also available separately for many applications.
For many years, Speedwerx had worked very hard to set the bar in performance clutch kits utilizing titanium springs. Speedwerx Roller and Pin Kit for TEAM Primary Clutch
These new TEAM Primary Clutch Rollers and Pins are 100% Made in the USA right at the Speedwerx facility. These are not the cheap imported knock-offs the rest of the market is flooded with. CNC machined, heat treated, hardened and ground to size, they are made to withstand the toughest of conditions. Components are also available separately including replacement clutch buttons- see product page for more info.
Speedwerx Roller Bushing Kit for ADAPT Primary Clutch
We have seen lots of premature roller bushing failures. To address those issues, we have designed replacement roller bushings that are made from Torlon and are much more durable than the OEM bushing material. Better yet, they are a less expensive alternative to buying new OEM rollers 0746-932 at $32.95 each. They fit all Arctic Cat Snow and Dirt applications with the ADAPT primary clutch. For your convenience, we have made a kit that includes the three replacement bushings and tools to assist in the removal and installation. Bushings are also sold separately in Sets of 3- see product page for more info.
Speedwerx Clutch Puller for TEAM or ADAPT Primary Clutch
Machined from Hardened Alloy Steel, this puller is tough and rugged. Our puller has the same T60 Torx head as the clutch bolt so you do not have to change sockets when removing and reinstalling the clutch. Replaces AC pn 0744-080 metric puller. Fits 2010 and newer 2-Stroke models with Arctic, TEAM, or ADAPT clutches, plus select 4-stroke and UTV applications- see product page for more info.
