CATALYST 600 Product Update 1/30/24:

Much like the rest of you, we’ve been frustrated with the slow start to winter as the lack of snow has thrown off our testing schedule to say the least. We’ve had no rideable snow at any time this season at the Speedwerx headquarters, but we’ve been able to get in some low elevation testing up north and quite a few good days out west to finalize most of the high elevation testing.

When running stock machines to establish a baseline at higher elevation (6,000’ +), one of the first things we noticed is the sleds are way more common to have runability issues, (bogs, pops, hiccups, or hesitations). We have noticed is happens way more in a cold pipe situation, or when the ECU program is in the lower pipe temp maps. Lighter clutching or situations with little to no load will also magnify this issue as both of these scenarios will make it harder for the machine to build pipe temp and get into the hotter pipe temp maps where they run better with the stock ECU calibration- if you notice any of these issues, please take this into consideration. A Stock Update ECU Flash is in the werx to help with these situations. We have not noticed any of these issues on the ZR and Riot models at Low Elevations / Midwest type riding.

We have not seen any gains with hood / intake like we have on the ProCross/ProClimb models. We have dynoed the sled with and without the hood and have seen no change. There may be some gains to be had in the lower air box/intake but modifying that part is very difficult to do.  

ZR 600 / Riot 600 models:

Hypershift Clutch Kit: We are currently seeing a 3 sled length gain in 1000’ with our Hypershift Clutch Kit! This is not a full race setup, but for those that like to ride hard it's a good pull and go setup with a great backshift and all-around performance gains. Available now for 1.5-1.75" Lugs at all elevations! Stay Tuned for the release date on Short Lug/Low Elevation kits after the specs are finalized.

Stage 2 Exterminator Kit: Pipe Mod / ECU Flash / Hypershift Clutch Kit
This is not 100% complete yet, but we are seeing 6 sled lengths over stock in 1000’. Stay Tuned for the release date after the specs are finalized.   

M 600 ALPHA ONE Models:

Hypershift Clutch Kit: Our clutch kit really wakes up these machines and helps pull consistent RPM in the wide variety of terrain found in the back country. Available now for All Elevations!

Our Hypershift Clutch Kits and Stealth Heads are available now and are compatible with the stock ECU, but our Updated ECU Flash to complete this package is coming soon.

In a head to head drag race, an M 600 with the Stage 2 Exterminator Kit runs right with a stock Alpha 800 with the hillclimb race ECU flash on it. This setup flat out rips! 

Stage 3 Exterminator Kit:  Adds the Stealth Head Mod to the Stage 2 Kit
This is very similar to the Stage 2 setup, but we bump up the compression ratio on high elevation applications for even more bottom end power and response. This setup flat out rips! Available now for High Elevation applications!

Stealth Heads: In testing on the new Catalyst models we are not seeing any significant gains at lower elevations like we are on the previous models, but they are working great at high elevations- the increased compression really wakes up the bottom end and throttle response on these machines. Pipe Mod:

Our Pipe Mod is the key to making big power, but that's just one part of the performance equation. It is only available in the Exterminator Kits as it was developed and tested as a package with the Stage 2 ECU Flash and Clutch Kit, and these parts must be used together for proper performance, runability, and reliability.
