This gauge is for setting the exhaust valve cables on any machine with a 36.5 mm cable length spec- this includes all 6000 and 8000 C-TEC 2 and 800 HO models.

We are seeing a lot of inconsistent valve cable measurements on the new 8000 C-TEC2 machines. Improperly set power valve cable adjustments can lead to engine bogging, hesitations, and inconsistent running. This gauge makes it easy to quickly check the cable spec without fumbling around with a caliper and allows you to get a much more precise setting than you can with a tape measure or ruler. This precision machined aluminum piece acts as a go/no go gauge- just lay the cable in the gauge and it shows you if it is out of spec so you can lengthen or shorten the cable as needed.
