PATRIOT BOOST NOTES AND SETUP INFORMATION
These machines are very sensitive to the overall set up and load from clutching and traction specifically. Mixing and matching parts from company to company is not advised, and will more than likely lead to a poor running machine. 91 Non-Oxy Gas is a must as the sled’s performance really suffers when running in Ethanol mode. Customers riding in California or other areas where 91 Octane Non-Oxy Gas is not available, we highly suggest adding some 100 LL AV Gas to your pump gas so you do not have to run in Ethanol mode.
As we have got more time on these machines, we are learning a lot more about them and what they like and do not like.

RMK Boost:
Stage 1: Stock 2023 updated ECU Tune for 91 Non-Oxy Pump Gas, Lightweight Muffler, and Hypershift Clutch Kit. Optional Intake Vent and Panel Vents also available.

Stage 5: When you want to put the title on the line. VP C-14 Fuel required. $999.95. Will not work with Stock muffler.

Mufflers: Our L2 and Standard Lightweight Mufflers are working great on all the available power levels. Stage 4/5 will only work with the Speedwerx mufflers, the L2 is what we suggest for these applications. We have seen issues with other mufflers on the market as they do not flow as good as the stock system, and they have a higher back pressure which throws the mapping and tuning off and makes the sleds more prone to having run-ability issues.
Stock Muffler Mod: Update Feb 2024- Now Available! We designed this Stock Muffler Mod to cope with the rules and regulations many of us are facing on the trail. This modification to the stock muffler increases the flow for the higher horsepower tunes, but keeps a stock external appearance with little change in the sound level. There is a very small gain on the stock tune but we are not really interested in that- performance tunes require a more freer flowing muffler and until now, all of those mufflers came with increased sound levels and a risk of fines in certain regions of the world. This muffler modification produces almost identical power numbers to our Standard Lightweight muffler or L2 Series muffler with our Stage 2 and 2.5 ECU tunes. The cost of the modification service is $189.95, or a modified muffler can be purchased outright for $1039.94 (OEM muffler is $849.99). We try to keep modified cores in stock and available for exchange to minimize the turn around time (subject to availability and demand).
Clutching: We focused a lot on throttle response and acceleration with our setups. RMK Models: New and Improved Calibration with our Ripper 10-2 series weights for High Elevation applications! These new setups are much more responsive, feel much more powerful, and make the sled more playful. These weights have 2 main adjustment points 1 in the body and 1 in the belly, giving you the best base weight option for these sleds with a lot of adjustability. (Weights come preset in all of our kits.) These machines are very sensitive to clutching, if they are too light on the clutching or get setup where they rev too fast, they will bog, or fall on their face consistently. They are more fun or more responsive with a lighter clutching setup though, so this can be a fine line- a guy who like to tinker and tune all the time will have fun with it, but our baseline setups are intended to be pull and go. A good example is when trail riding at slow speeds and you pin the throttle and create a lot of track spin- this is an area that can be difficult to get through. Most guys never see the trail and won’t have to worry about it, but we know lots of guys like to drag race on the trail too. Another very sensitive area is when you break traction while climbing and pull the track all the way out of the snow, and it just free wheels it will bog or sound like it dropped a cylinder. Our clutch set-ups have a lot of adjustability built into them and if you never trail ride, you can probably run a little less weight or helix and the sled will be snappier and even more responsive. VR1 models: Our Hypershift Clutch Kits are designed for everyday trail use, we like to run these at 8100-8300 rpm for these conditions. When lake racing or drag racing we are finding best results at 8050-8150 but they are a lot more prone to throwing knock codes when pulled down harder. They are more fun to ride on the trail running at the 8100-8300 rpm range though for sure.
Intake / Venting: The High Flow Intake Vent POL850T-HFI really helps the intake get even more fresh air, which helps the machines run more consistent and lowers the intake temps slightly. This also helps in deep snow conditions when the stock intake vents plug off your machine still has a good source of intake air. This helps prevent bogging and runability issues when this situation occurs. We highly suggest 2022 RMK models update to the 2023 stock intake with the extra vent too. For Panel Vent kits there are 4 options for the RMK models and 4 for the Indy models. They help keep the temps down underhood, which leads to better performance, lower clutch and belt temps, and lower intake temps. Update Feb 2024: Billet Aluminum Intake Manifold Kit Now Available!
Pipe Springs: Anything running our ECU tunes you need to double up the springs on the pipe to the y-pipe. Even on models with a stock tune this will be a good upgrade- order quantity 3 of pn ATV-SS. Even with 1 PSI of extra boost we have seen the pipe push off the manifold and cause issues.
In the WERX:
- Head Kits- These will be based off of a raw casting that will allow us to cut chambers to what we want or need and not be limited to recutting the stock heads.
- Intercooler- We are working on a water to air intercooler kit similar to what we used on our Supercharger kits. This will be huge for the mountain riding and high boost lake racing applications.
- 900 Kit- There is replacement for displacement.

Our Boost mufflers have a CNC machined diffuser which gives you a precision fit and finish as the exhaust leaves the turbo outlet. These mufflers feature our new ANTI-BOG deep snow technology which helps prevent bogging in deep snow conditions, this design allows the exhaust to escape the exhaust outlet when the bottom of the outlet is capped off or covered in deep snow conditions. Our mufflers show a small power gain with the stock ECU programming and improved throttle response as well. The L2 muffler saves 10.9 lbs. over stock on the Boost 850 too!
The L2 Series muffler is designed to be lighter and louder than our original lightweight muffler. We always have performance on our minds and our mufflers will either perform the same or better than the stock muffler. They utilize the stock outlet location and require no chassis modifications for installation.

These new setups absolutely rip and make these awesome sleds even more fun to ride. They work with the stock ECU flash and our Stage 2 and 3 ECU flashes. The throttle response, acceleration, backshifting and all-around drivability on these setups are great and you will not be disappointed. The turbo lag is very much improved on the stock ECU tune and with our Stage 2 or 3 tunes it's hardly noticeable. The kit comes with our new dual adjusting Ripper 10-2 Series Weights which come pre-set for your riding elevation, our industry leading H5 Alloy Primary and Secondary Springs, a Primary Spring Life Washer, two R2 Series Secondary Rollers to allow for a dual track helix, and a Billet Aluminum Lightweight Helix which is about .4 lbs lighter than stock.

About ECU Tuning:
Throughout our extensive R & D experience, we found that recalibrating the ECU/ECM is the best way to get the most out of your machine. We do this by taking the time to go through the entire ECU and optimize it from the ground up. Something that was not commonly done in current ECU tuners. This way we can tune it to as close to perfection for every scenario to outperform your current programming configuration. This new twist on our Stealth Cylinder Head design is the best head option on the market to improve the throttle response and acceleration of your machine. These heads are built from raw, unfinished head castings which offers several advantages over a full billet head or our traditional Stealth Head Mod with a billet dome. Starting with a raw casting means we aren't limited to recutting an already finished stock chamber- we can shape the combustion chamber exactly how we want it just like we would with a billet piece. The stock casting also enables us to retain all of the highly engineered cooling design advantages the OEM head design provides, and works with our chamber design that increases the compression ratio to maximize power and performance on pump gas with no ECU reflash needed. They are also lighter that any billet design- the exterior profiling machibe work we do shaves .4 lbs off the stock head which puts them at .8 to 1.5 lbs lighter than aftermarket billet heads. While we were at it, the head bolt bosses were machined so the bolts are now sealed with reusable o-rings to make for an easier and cleaner installation with no silicone or sealer needed. Best of all, you get all of this with the lowest cost of any aftermarket option. Sold outright- no core exchange needed.

BILLET ALUMINUM INTAKE MANIFOLD KIT // POLARIS 850 PATRIOT BOOST VR1 / ASSAULT / RMK
The stock throttle body adapter on these machines have been prone to cracking and fatigue over time. These 6061 Billet Aluminum Intake Manifolds are not only much stronger than stock, but they are one of the trickest parts you can find. Our 5 Axis CNC machining capabilities allow us to not only make these parts faster and more efficient than the competition but they also help us create the best part for you. We have a seamless transition where all of the radiuses match up inside the boot to ensure you are getting the smoothest and best airflow routing on your intake. Others on the market use 3 Axis and or 4 Axis milling to create there parts where they have to change positions of the parts which creates rough spots on the finished part. We also split the manifold into two separate parts to reduce weight. The manifolds are also pre-drilled and tapped for 1/8” NPT for external boost reference or gauges, blow off valves, or injection. The kit comes with 2 Billet Aluminum Manifolds, 2 Reed Cage Gaskets and 2 O-Rings.

Lightweight Hood / Cold Air High Flow Intake
This Lighweight Polycarbonate Hood and Intake combo is 8.55 lbs lighter than stock and is the best option for eliminating bogging issues in deep snow conditions on the Boost models. On top of that it, also drops air intake temps dramatically which makes these rocketships perform even better. On a 30 second run the stock intake temps climb to 145 degrees very easily, but the temps drop 30 degrees in back-to-back tests with this hood and intake setup. This improves powerand overall performance, and reduces the chance of throwing codes that are intake temp related. Simply put, this is the lightest, best breathing, and best performing hood and intake combo on the market. These vent kits allow cool air in and hot air to escape the engine compartment- this helps to keep the clutches and belt cooler, and the intake temps lower. The aluminum frames are laser cut with a log pattern to match the stock vents and have a durable black anodized finish, and they are backed with a fine stainless steel mesh keeps the snow out. Need extra fuel for longer rides ? These Iron Dog inspired auxiliary fuel tanks are designed and proven in the roughest and toughest conditions. This lightweight aluminum 2.5 gallon tank fits with no chassis modifications and is designed to be used with the stock fuel pump, gas cap, and seat for a quick and easy install. The original in-tank lines and pickup do need to be modified to work with this tank, or you can use use the Polaris 600R pump assembly pn 2208825 for a drop-in installation. Designed for weight-conscious racers in modified class hillclimb or drag racing applications- not only is the tank itself 5.55 lbs. lighter, but you can save over 6 lbs. for each extra gallon of fuel you don't have to add when you're not worried about the fuel sloshing around and uncovering the pickup in the larger stock tank.
