The next generation of the Wildcat is one of the most highly anticipated side by sides in years. It has many features that have never been seen on any SxS as they rolled off the assembly line- standard 30" Tires on 15" KMC wheels, FOX Podium Shocks, stout RG Pro Supsension with 18" of travel, and the 998cc triple engine with a class-leading 130 naturally-aspirated horsepower to name a few. Update 4/12/18: The Textron Off Road Wildcat XX’s are starting to show up at dealers around the country, and naturally everyone is wanting to know more about Speedwerx performance upgrades as the machines filter out into the hands of the consumer. We’ve been working on a number of bolt-on parts and dyno testing many different configurations over the past few weeks, and we were pleasantly surprised to see the XX pull 130hp for a stock baseline number, 5hp more than the factory rating. Even better yet, our Stage 2 Exterminator Kit delivered 142hp with power and torque increases over the whole RPM range. Take note of the huge gains at the lower RPM range as well, 12-18hp more over a 1000rpm+ spread, that translates into more grunt down low to get you out of the hole quicker- it’s really noticeable just by the seat of your pants when you mash the pedal. All testing was done with 87 octane fuel, so you can save a few bucks at the pump too.

Our Exterminator Kits are designed to offer you the biggest bang for your buck! What we do is put together a group of components that we have found to work the best on each and every machine to get the best performance at a reasonable cost. The Stage 2 Exterminator Kit for the Wildcat XX comes with our Speedwerx L2 Series Stainless Steel Slip-On Exhaust, Stainless Steel Exhaust Header, Hypershift Clutch Kit, High Flow Air Intake, and a Dynojet Power Commander V Fuel Controller. You can also select the optional Q6 Stainless Steel muffler is you want a quieter, maintainance free muffler. ECU Flash now available! This eliminates the need for a piggyback fuel controller and adds some cool features including Raised Speed and Rev Limiters- see full details below.
- Speedwerx L2 Stainless Steel Slip-On Muffler - The L2 (Light n' Loud) Series Stainless Steel Slip-On Exhaust is designed to increase power, add acceleration and throttle response, lose weight and give your machine a new deeper, throatier sound. With this exhaust, you are also eliminating the catalytic converter that is inside the OEM muffler- that means more air flow for better performance, and less heat retention for cooler engine compartment temps. You also shed a total of 14.6lbs with this exhaust on the XX.
These mufflers have a brushed stainless steel shell with a welded inlet end cap, and a steel core with packing material and a built-in spark arrestor. They are 100% rebuildable with all inner parts being removable. They come standard with a stainless steel turn down outlet end cap, but aluminum endcaps with a natural finish or anodized black, red, blue, gold, or green are available as an upgrade as well.
- Speedwerx Stainless Steel Exhaust Header- Our header features stepped diameter equal length primary tubes, and 3-into-1 merge collector to maximize overall power and performance. All joints are hand-prepped and sand rolled prior to the purge TIG welding process, so you get great looking welds and the smoothest surface possible inside of the tubes- just like our race car headers that have won hundreds of races across the country.
- Speedwerx Hypershift Clutch Kit- The Hypershift Clutch Kit includes our Machined Weights with an Adjustment Kit, H5 Alloy Secondary Spring, and a Custom Cut Helix. These kits are designed and rigorously tested by the staff at Speedwerx to insure that it will increase your machine’s acceleration, backshift and all-around performance.
- Speedwerx High Flow Air Intake- This High Flow Air Intake offers better filtration and more flow with a larger filter than the stock setup. It bolts right into the stock location with no fabrication required.
- Dynojet Power Commander V Fuel Controller- The PCV allows us to maximize performance by tuning the fuel injection parameters to eliminate any rich or lean spots in the fuel mapping when changing the exhaust and intake. Our custom tuned map ensures maximum trouble free power using 87 Octane pump fuel. It's also easily user-tunable, so if you decide you want to upgrade other components down the road all you have to do is upload a new map in the PCV and you'll be ready to roll.
Q6 Stainless Steel Slip-On Muffler
The Q6 Slip-On Muffler is only 2-3db louder than stock and the fully welded, baffled stainless steel design means there's no internal packing for quiet, maintenance free power. It also gives you a nice 10.9lb weight loss on the XX as well.
Muffler Comparison:
Stock 97dB @4500 rpm - 112dB @9000rpm - 20.8lbs with heat shields
L2 106dB @4500 rpm - 114dB @9000 rpm - 6.2lbs installed = 14.6 lbs savings
Q6 102dB @4500 rpm - 111dB @9000 rpm - 9.9lbs installed = 10.9 lbs savings
The difference in the dB readings at 4500 on the Stock and Q6 parts can be misleading as the sound of the Q6 is much more friendly and tolerable compared to stock. The Q6 also has a different tone compared to stock- the stock rattle / vibration sound is gone with the Q6- this does not show up on the decibel meter but anyone who is sensitive to this sound will notice the difference right away.
Wildcat XX ECU Programming
These programs have been in the works for some time now, and we're finally ready to let the cat out of the bag! They have some cool features many have been looking for, most notably the Raised Speed and Rev Limiters in addition to the added Power and Performance without the need for a separate fuel controller. Another unique feature is the optional Multi-Map Pedal Tune that enables you to dial in the drive by wire pedal response for different riding conditions. Using the same technology as our popular and proven programs for the Arctic Cat 9000 Series Snowmobiles, we also have Flash Tools available for Dealers and Performance Shops to program machines on the spot via the factory diagnostic port so there's no risk of damage from cracking the ECU open or addtional wait time shipping. As always, any consumer or dealer can send the ECU directly to Speedwerx for programming- we typically program and ship within one business day for minimal downtime as well.

Designed for a smoother engagement, with improved slow speed drivability along with the renowned performance and acceleration of a Speedwerx Hypershift kit. The stock clutch calibration isn't the worst we have encountered but our setup is a noticeable improvement, especially if you have larger, heavier tires! The same race-winning knowledge and experience that's been proven in short course and cross country races goes into these kits to give you the best all-around performance whether you ride trails, rocks, desert, or mud. We make our own custom weights and helixes in-house, so we are able to test an infinite number of combinations to get it just right. Our exclusive H5 Alloy Springs outlast the stock springs that tend to sack out and lose RPM over time, and the weight adjustment kit allows you to dial it in to keep it revving in the sweet spot.

PTO Output Shaft and Clutch Intake Kit
We have found that a vast majority of the cab noise if coming from the clutch area. The primary source of the excess noise has been traced down to crankshaft PTO output shaft. This is a bolt-on part with internal splines that mate to external splines on the crankshaft, and the stock shaft has excessive tolerances that cause extra noise, vibration, and harmonics. Our output shaft is a higher quality part built with tighter tolerances to cut down on the noise, and it reduces the vibrations and harmonics that lead to clutch button fatigue and failure. Now Available Assembled with Bearing and Seal!
The stock plastic clutch housing air inlet tubes act like megaphones and the noise from the clutch area echoes up the tubes and exits right behind the cab. Our new clutch intake kit has stainless steel braided, high-temp resistant rubber hoses that helps absorb the noise, and we re-route them in a manner than moves the inlets far away from the cab of the machine. Includes hoses, tube adapter, clamps, and water resistant pre-filters.

Note: Sound Pressure Level as measured on an Electronic Decibel Meter is not a linear scale- 6db lower represents a 50% reduction in the sound pressure level. Likewise, a 6dB increase represents a 100% increase or doubling of the sound pressure level.
Our own ears perceive sound differently than an electronic decibel meter- in addition to the objective factor of sound pressure level as measured on a dB meter, subjective factors like the frequency or pitch, and duration or time of exposure to the sounds are part of what affect our perception of loudness. The number differences recorded on the dB meter may not look like a big change if you think in terms of a linear scale, and video recorded on a GoPro and played back on poor quality speakers on your phone or computer cannot accurately reproduce what you hear with your own ears, but in the video you can definitely hear a some of the change that makes it much more pleasant sounding in the cab with the new output shaft installed, and the hoses help reduce the overall sound level even further. The dB meter starts to pick up wind noise at the 10-12mph speeds seen around 4500rpm but it cannot sense the same changes in frequency or pitch that your ears can- it’s more easily heard in the GoPro videos at the slow crawling speeds where we also observe the larger differences on the dB meter, but there is still benefits to having these parts installed at higher speeds and RPM’s.
Axle Alignment Bar
Axle alignment is a critical to prevent potential axle failures on the Wildcat XX. This bar acts as a simple go/no go gauge so you can easily check for the proper swing arm length and make adjustments if necessary. What may be a less than precise measurement with a tape measure unless you have a helping hand can now be quickly and accurately done by one person. Just place the sleeve over the front swing arm bolt, then put the bar over the sleeve and the front bearing housing bolt- if it fits tight in the notch on the bearing housing bolt you're good to go, and if not it will show you how much you need to lengthen or shorten the rod end adjustment.
Water Pump Self Bleeding Kit
The Speedwerx Self Bleeding Kit is a simple fix for the Wildcat XX water pump issues. Air in the system can cause the water pump to cavitate and when a rush of coolant comes back in with the engine turning thousands of RPM, the stock impeller will spin on the shaft and fail causing it to overheat because it can no longer move the coolant through the system. This kit lets the air in the system work it's way to the overflow tank by itself, so there's no need to worry if you've purged the system properly, or to purchase expensive aftermarket water pumps or impellers to protect yourself from a failure caused by an air bubble. This kit is race proven with the stock water pumps by the Speedwerx team in short course, cross country and endurance racing!

Speedwerx H5 Alloy Clutch Springs
Don't forget clutch springs as a normal part of your maintenance program! They take a lot of abuse, but are often one of the most overlooked parts in the whole performance equation. Our exclusive H5 Alloy springs are offered in our Hypershift Clutch Kits, and are also available separately for many applications.
For many years, Speedwerx had worked very hard to set the bar in performance clutch kits utilizing titanium springs. The springs and clutch kits worked perfectly, but the prices were getting higher due to the rising cost of titanium. After two years of rigorous testing, we introduced the H5 Alloy springs in 2008. The H5 Alloy springs have a 30,000 to 40,000 psi higher tensile strength compared to standard chrome silicon wire springs and they won't lose rate over time, so you can get the durability and consistent performance of a titanium spring at a fraction of the cost- they even have a 5 Year Guarantee against breakage. The H5 Alloy springs have set the new standard in performance for trail, mountain, and racing applications!
Speedwerx Primary Clutch Pullers for TEAM Clutches and Adapt Clutches
Our pullers have the same T-60 Torx head as the clutch bolt so you do not have to change sockets when removing and reinstalling the clutch. On Wildcat XX models, this puller also allows you to pull the clutch without having to remove the shock or tire. Replaces Arctic Cat pn 0744-080 for TEAM Clutches and 0644-650 for ADAPT Clutches.
